World Series of Handicapping: Week 7
The National Football League is just about to wrap up week six and the slate is proving difficult to navigate for even the most skilled handicappers. The football picking expert who is trying to get a good handle on this season is quickly realizing that on any given week anything can happen.
This is also true for the World Series of Handicapping also known as the WSOH. If you are not familiar with this one of a kind tournament you are missing out one of the most competitive and challenging football handicapping tournaments in the world!
The football handicapper that signs up for this tournament have to be one of the best if they hope to finish in first place and claim the most coveted prize that anyone could hope to win. The winner of the WSOH who compiled the best record at the end of the season will be the lucky recipient of the huge ring that is awarded to the winner. This big and shiny ring will tell the world who the champion is as they wear it proudly.
Here is a quick look at the leaderboard as the halfway point in the NFL is getting closer. The top of the leaderboard is getting more and more crowded with some of the best cappers who are starting to get hot at the right time.
Natejacobson is currently in first place on the leaderboard but he is starting to get some company. With a 34-14-1 record and 81.90 units earned he has done a great job of selecting winners. In week six his top play, worth seven units, was on the Kansas City Chiefs a team that won outright as an underdog against the San Diego Chargers. He also won his five unit selection on the Indianapolis Colts and his four unit play on the Arizona Cardinals, but unfortunately he lost his six unit play on the New York Giants. On the week he will finish with an impressive record, but there are still other players who are challenging for the top spot.
In second place is Petro, a defending champion of this tournament who is proving he is up to the challenge of trying to be the first person to win this tournament twice. In week six he pulled off the perfect sweep gong 7-0 on the week! This included a big win with the Arizona Cardinals as his best play on the board. With a +77.70 units gained he is well within striking distance of first place.
Finally, in third place is gwiz who cannot be overlooked with +66.20 units. He hit his top plays with the Colts winning his seven unit play. These contestants are doing a great job of showing just how difficult it is to compete in the WSOH. With plenty of time to go, it is obvious that there will be a great finish to this great tournament!
