A Look Around the League – NFL Week 4

The NFL hits the first quarter point of the season this week when week four kicks off. Week four is loaded with great games that feature some of the best teams in the league.

It all starts on Thursday night when the Pittsburgh Steelers start their first game without injured quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Michael Vick will attempt to lead the Steelers to victory over the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are one of only a few winless teams in the league and they will be attempting to get their first win in a very crucial divisional game in the AFC North. The Ravens are listed as small (-2.5) point chalk for this prime time battle.

The NFL travels abroad this weekend as the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins will face off in London, England. The Dolphins are another winless team that is in dire need of a victory when they take on the Jets.  A look at the trends from atsdatabase.com show that the Jets can be in trouble.

When NEW YORK JETS team played as a Road team – After a non-conference game – Coming off a Home loss as a Favorite the Jets are 4-10 against the spread (ATS).

If the Dolphins want any chance of playing a role in the outcome of this division they will need to steal this win away from the states. This game is an early kickoff as it is slated to go at 9:30 eastern standard time which is a delight for the early football fanatics that love to bet on football for breakfast.

The game of the week is the big battle between the Denver Broncos and the Minnesota Vikings. Peyton Manning and the Broncos have yet to lose a game although the Broncos offense has struggled to put up big points.

When DENVER BRONCOS team played as a Home team – After a non-conference game – Coming off a win in dome they are 2-8 ATS.

This week it could be tougher as they face an aggressive Vikings defense. Adrian Peterson will attempt to continue his early season success on the ground against the vaunted Broncos defense.
