NFL Around the League
Time is running out for teams in the NFL that are hoping to make the playoffs. They have to win now or they will be eliminated from what has become a closely competitive playoff race. With spots already being locked up, time is running out for the teams on the fringe. They need teams to lose while they cannot afford to stumble, not even for a second.
Now with week 15 closely approaching the schedule is loaded with games with plenty of playoff implications. The Thursday night game features the St. Louis Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Although both teams do not have a big chance at making the playoffs, they are still mathematically alive.
The Saturday night game has more of an impact as the New York Jets are very much alive in the race for the AFC playoffs. The Jets are in a must win situation when they go up against the Dallas Cowboys. Although it is nearly impossible even the Cowboys still have a chance to make the post season. This game in short, essentially becomes an elimination game.
The biggest game of the week is the game that features the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are trying to survive life without Peyton Manning but are still in the race to secure the second seed in the AFC playoff race. The Steelers may be the most dangerous team in the league right now that no one wants to face. They are playing excellent football and will be a front runner to pull off an upset in the playoffs.
This is just the start of many crucial games this week which also includes the Houston Texans against the Indianapolis Colts. The winner of this game will have the advantage in the AFC South although both teams will be without their starting quarterbacks this season.
Week 15 in the NFL could be the most exciting yet!
